Myofascial release

Myofascial release has been called the “medicine” of the 21st century.  Currently, the health of the mind is directly linked to the health of the body. Even more so in times of great pressure, when the mind acts as a stress trigger for the body itself.

Myofascial release is a fascial-focused bodywork technique that also involves the relief of emotional pain.

Fascia is a layer that covers the muscle and supports the entire musculoskeletal system. It is the main connecting tissue between muscles, nerves, blood vessels, bones and organs. This tissue can be damaged by surgery, scarring, accidents, injuries, poor posture, stress, excessive repetition of movements during physical activity or even repetitive work. In these cases, there may be a loss of malleability and flexibility, causing limitations or even restrictions on movement, leading to acute or chronic pain.

The technique consists of manipulation with sustained pressure to allow the fascia to release and return to its normal state.

It is always important to reinforce: myofascial release can be a great relief for many people.

Cupping therapy can also be associated with Myofascial Release for a greater benefit of this therapy.
